This series of works is inspired by the
renowned Hollywood hair-stylist Jose Ever, who in 1984 published a book titled “Shake Your Head Darling!”
My goal is to reproduce this book as a series of obsessive self-portraits.
If I had stayed
in my hometown, just like every other open homosexual, I would be working as a hairdresser. In this series I attempt to get
in touch with the fate I seem to have avoided. I believe hairdressers re invent themselves at the same time the recreate their
customers' personality. I am fascinated by this exchange and interested in exploring it.
